Bank- Staff Nurse

Staffing Solutions provide motivated, reliable staff to cover temporary vacancies or shortfalls at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust (RUH). The bank team are currently recruiting Nurses, RMNs, Paediatric staff and Theatre Practitioners.


The RUH is an acute hospital and our Bank staff are in-demand across wards and out-patient areas. For registered mental health nurses, the demand is with 1-1 support of patients throughout various wards as and when required, dealing with patients who have challenging behaviours.
We are currently looking for both General Nurses and Mental Health Nurses to join our team. You will work in various locations throughout the Trust.

These shifts include:

Early shifts: 0700 -1300 or 0730-1330

Late shifts: 1400-2000

Long days: 0700-1930 or 0730-2000

Twilight- 1700-0200

Night shifts: 1900-0730 or 1930-0800

You will have to be qualified with the appropriate NMC registration and have relevant acute hospital nursing experience.

Our Children’s Unit comprises a paediatric assessment area, ward and dedicated children’s outpatients.

You’ll be working on the Children’s Unit, adapting to changing situations and working well within the teams. We have regular and occasional work to suit your needs and can offer flexible working patterns – including: early mornings, days,late shifts,twilight (Paediatric assessment) nights and weekends.

You must have recent/relevant experience in an acute hospital and have the appropriate NMC registration.

We are looking for Operating Department Practitioners, Scrub Nurses and Anaesthetic Assistants with a minimum of 6 months experience in the Operating Theatre Department to join our bank.

We are able to offer excellent development opportunities in specialties including General Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedics, Trauma, Gynaecology, Urology and Obstetrics. We have regular and occasional work to suit your needs and can offer flexible working patterns – Shifts will be generally 8-6 Monday to Friday with the possibility of working unsocial, nights and weekends depending on experience– so you can work around other commitments.

As a new bank member we will also provide you with up to 4 supervised shifts.

BASIC HRS=-£15.15

PLUS A/L= £16.98

PLUS 20.07% (A/L+RRP) =£18.19


SUN/BH 60% =£29.10

Outpaitent Nurses will be paid at £24,915

BASIC HRS=-£12.74

PLUS A/L= £14.28

PLUS 20.07% (A/L+RRP) =£15.30
