Venue:- Postgraduate Centre, St. Peter's Hospital, Guildford Road, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 0PZ

The Band 5 Ophthalmology Staff Nurse is a great opportunity to increase your knowledge, confidence and experience as you work within a specialist Eye Department at Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust. The aim will be to allow you to build on your nursing skills as you develop in a friendly multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated qualified nurses that have excellent communication skills and who are able to work as part of a busy Ophthalmology Team. We would want you to be able to adapt to an ever changing work environment and also cope with working in both a day surgery unit and the clinic setting.

You role would see you responsible for the assessment, management and care of patients’ in the General Ophthalmology service. You will assess patients and also implement and evaluate treatment. We are at all times aiming to deliver care that is of a high standard consistently in a unit that is seeing high numbers of patients each day.

You will have management responsibilities and be expected to co-ordinate the team in the absence of a more senior nurse. The main aim being to ensure all patients are seen and assessed in a timely manner within the patient care pathway.
