Our client is a major provider of engineering consultancy and services to train operating companies worldwide

Due to continued growth they are currently looking to recruit a Warranty Engineer/Manager to join their Engineering Management team.

As a member of this team they will contribute to the development and growth of the business. Manage engineering warranty activities to ensure that all products supplied by the company are in accordance with national and internationally recognised standards and specifications for a wide range of products and services.

The main roles and responsibilities will include the following: -

* Responsibility for the Warranty process.

* Product Safety and Reliability.

* Management of Warranty activities and product conformity.

* Support business processes for high risk product failure investigations.

* Manage the overall Warranty Process within Engineering, providing analysis of data to support product integrity and reliability improvement (End to End).

* Ensure that all warranty claims are managed within specified Service Level Agreements and associated investigations are of an appropriate standard.

* Responsible for the Warranty process and the effectiveness of the whole process across business functions. Identify and drive improvements Review, disseminate and implement changes in industry Legislation, Standards & Specifications to ensure the company’s continued product compliance.

* Drive financial improvements from overall management of warranty claims and process improvements

* Support the resolution of National Safety Incidents to ensure they are effectively managed and resolved.

* Support the Product Specification Strategy and Engineering Product Integrity improvement programme conducted with the Engineering Department.

* Develop and maintain processes and procedures associated with engineering assurance activities and supporting functions.

* Participate and support the development and implementation of the business strategy for the UK and targeted overseas territories.

Essential Criteria

* Chartered Engineer or qualifications leading to Chartered status.

* Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

* A minimum of 5 years management experience.

The role will involve a degree of overseas travel which may include overseas.
