Relationship Manager - FTC Contract The Opportunity The Relationship Manager for the Devolved Administrations and London works as part of the Partnerships Team, within DIT's Investment Services Team (IST). The nature of the role varies in both workload and activity depending upon where the investor is on the client journey and what locations the client is considering in the UK. The relationship manager will stakeholder manage particular partners along with reporting regularly into the client about particular performance of the partners and key updates. Your key responsibilities Pipeline Management and Reporting - Relationship Manager for the Devolved Administrations and London will provide 2-way monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to L&P, DA teams and to DIT HQ as required. Expected outcomes: Monthly data cuts interrogated and gaps/errors identified and addressed. Provide monthly pipeline reports to partners based on production on HQ Data Hub reports. Responsible for working with partners to ensure that Data Hub records are kept accurate and up to date. Link partners to HQ, sector specialists, IST sector teams and wider network to support local proposition development as required. Expected outcomes: Ensure all relevant members of DAs and L&P have access to necessary DIT and IST collateral. Manage relationships between DAs and L&P in regards to building into DIT material. Further IST and DIT engagement with the DAs and L&P through visiting tours and meetings. Successes - To support L&P and DA teams to report FDI successes accurately and timely throughout the year. Expected outcomes: All FDI wins agreed with L&P / DA teams each month and accurate and non-contested project records maintained All FDI wins have the necessary evidence for verification uploaded onto Data Hub and all key Data Hub fields completed Where queries are raised, they are resolved quickly and proactively Reduction in year-end hockey-stick attributed to L&P/ DA landed (and sourced) wins To support London & Partners (L&P) and Devolved Administration (DA) partners in bidding for and delivering their project management activity. Expected outcomes: Increased number of opportunities tagged to L&P / DA and improvement in quality of data held against each project All Transferred projects are picked up, resource allocated and Data Hub updated with relevant information Proactively champions L&P, DA offers for projects not tagged, supports partners pipeline interrogation, provides feedback to partners Link partners with posts effectively through working with CMC Geographic and SAS Sector teams Engagement / Awareness Expected outcomes: All aspects of the project requirements are clearly understood by the delivery teams. Partners understand the ask from IST/DIT for majority of projects. To lead on monthly performance meetings with L&P (geographic team) and Scottish Development International (SDI), Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) and Invest Northern Ireland (INI), as agreed with partners and report back to IST / HQ on issues, challenges and opportunities identified by partners. Actively facilitates the 'one team' approach between IST/DIT and delivery partner on projects. Facilitates training, briefing and introductions for L&P, DA teams on areas of need and as agreed with partners / HQ. Roles of the Relationship Manager Requests the Local Partner to allocate a 'Project Manager' and connects them with the person who sourced the enquiry to ensure they are fully briefed on the project. (note: where an investor is only interested in one of the DA regions or London, CMC transfers the project directly to the relevant DA/L&P to take the lead as Project Manager). Tags the relevant Local Partner on Data Hub. This will enable the Local Partners to view and update the project via the Investment Portal. Supports the Local Partner in updating the project record on the Investment Portal. This can include recording key project developments in the comment box and ensuring the expected decision date is accurate. Provides assistance to the Local Partner throughout the life cycle of the project. This can include securing support from the IST Research and Projects or Sectors team or DIT Specialists. Assists the Local Partner in successfully closing the project as a success on the Investment Portal. Normally, this will involve reviewing the evidence provided to ensure it meets DIT specified requirements.
