UX Lead | Glasgow | £42K to £48K + benefits Your new company A large public sector organisation in Glasgow is currently going through large digital transformation putting the client at the heart of everything they do. The Service Design department translates high level requirements into customer focused products, delivered through integrated change and programme management capability of the team. This team is expanding and need a Lead Business Architect to manage a team delivering high quality business design in collaboration with cross functional teams including UX, Customer Data Analytics, Operations etc. Your new role You will be recognised as an experienced authority in UX design and user research. You'll be responsible for leading their team in executing high quality User Research and UX design in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Business Architecture, Customer Data Analytics, Operations, Repayment and Counter Fraud, Customer Communications and Technology Group. The role will ensure that user needs are understood and defined using appropriate research techniques and fieldwork to provide analysis. It will champion those users' needs through exploring and testing UX design options based on research evidence, creating design patterns, interface designs and interaction flows, collaborating and iterating on designs throughout agile sprint cycles, and ensuring relevant standards are applied appropriately. What you'll need to succeed This is a multi-disciplinary role and requires you to have a strong research and UX background. Key responsibilities: Lead their team in delivering user research and UX design project responsibilities. User Research design practice within the organisation Coach and mentor their team Support all stages of the design lifecycle and act as a domain expert for UX design and User Research. Lead workshops and collaborative design sessions Work with and guide multi-disciplinary teams, including Business Architecture, Customer Data Analytics, Operations, Repayment and Counter Fraud, Customer Communications and Technology Group, to turn research and design concepts into user-centred services Present to senior leaders and governance bodies such as the Design Council in their role of assurance of design and design principles across the organisation What you'll get in return You will get the opportunity to work in an organisation who has a fantastic attitude to work - life balance.
