A local authority based in the North West are looking to recruit a Planner to their Development Management team on a contract basis. The role will involve working on a range of applications, from householders up to small majors, consisting of 10-20 units. Your exact caseload will depend on your experience and preference. The contract will be 3-4 months initially, with a view to extend for a considerable period should both parties be happy. Once settled into the council there is the option to work from home a few days a week, and work compressed hours. The contract is deemed inside IR35. Successful candidates will have acquired practical experience as a Planner in development management, and have proven track record processing applications, with a Town Planning related degree or diploma, and excellent written and communication skills.
