Job Title: Technical Claims Manager

Department: Commercial and Personal Lines Claims Team

Purpose of Role:

* To provide a quality and effective service to customers making claims Claims settlement negotiation

* Ensure that claims progress is correctly reported and communicated Attend customers premises as required in conjunction with the loss adjuster

* Monitor the performance of Insurers

* Maintain a bespoke claims service for larger commercial customers

* Acquire new customers

* Retain and provide a service to existing customers

* Adhere to the principles/standards as set out in the Group Procedures Manual

* Key Customers: Commercial and Personal Lines Customers and Colleagues

Responsibilities and Objectives:

* Maintain a professional image of self and the Group to all customers and insurers

* Liaise and negotiate with an insurer/loss adjuster a fair settlement for the customer

* Keep the customer and/or the Account Executives informed of issues that may arise for identified customers

* Completion of tasks in a timely manner

* Identify and implement process improvements that will benefit the team and the Group

* Take control of technical claims issues with insurers and customer, liaising with Account Executives

* Provide technical advice and coaching to colleagues drawn from experiences of insurance, insurers and customers

* Keep abreast of developments in the industry regarding claims matters to improve customer service

* Continue to build own technical knowledge to achieve/maintain competence and maintain own training records

* Ensure that all compliance responsibilities are recorded and reported as required eg complaints
