ROLE PROFILE

MARKETING OFFICER

The main purpose of the job is to assist the Business Development Director to achieve development and growth of the Reach Active business by being responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to maximise company profits by meeting agreed company business objectives. Also, to evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plans and make any alterations as needed.

Key responsibilities and duties:

* Network and liaise with all stakeholders (customers, suppliers, partners etc.).

* Complete all assigned correspondence, presentations, projects, reports, photo shoot preparations in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

* Conduct market research in order to monitor and analyse market trends associated with the Group operations and to identify market requirements for current and future projects

* Work in accordance with and provide market intelligence for the Group business plan identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.

* Undertake any required market segmentation exercises.

* As directed prepare and manage marketing plans and assist with developing budgets.

* Manage and/or assist as directed with the production of presentations, capability statements and promotional material etc.

* Liaise with other internal departments and projects to ensure on-going understanding of Group capabilities.

* Produce marketing reports for board meetings and monitor outworking and content keeping the board informed of results.

* As directed by the Business Development Director present marketing findings and suggestions to company directors or other senior managers

* Through customer satisfaction surveys explore ways of improving existing project products and services, and increasing profitability.

* Provide costs and place advertisements through different media as agree with the Business Development Director.

* Produce marketing material such as leaflets, posters, flyers, DVDs and newsletters as required.

* Work with designers and printers on promotional materials including arranging photo shoots etc.

* Develop relationships with external organisations to achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media.

* Study competitors' products and services, establish and maintain competitor database.

* Play a leading role in identifying project opportunities via. Glenigan and web-based search engines keeping a comprehensive database of these opportunities.

* Attend and be a main contributor to the weekly business development meetings.

* Implement and maintain the Group Contact Management System.

* At all times act in professional manner to: build trust; value others; communicate effectively; drive execution; foster innovation; focus on delivery to customers; collaborate with others; solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.

* Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.

* Develop and present subject matter material as necessary to support the Business Development Director and team.

* Ensure all sensitive commercial information remain confidential.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·Good skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

·Technical ability to edit and update websites

·Experienced with social media platforms, including Linkedin and Twitter

·Work well independently with a degree of direction
