My client based in Kings Hill, Kent is looking for a permanent ‘Underwriting Admin Assistant’. This is a Monday to Friday position. Salary up to £20,000. They are one of the UK’s leading insurers, specialising in boat insurance since 1986.

They provide a full underwriting and claims service as well as a wealth of knowledge and experience in product lines ranging from yachts and motorboats to canal boats, speedboats, RIBS and commercial boats.

The purpose of the role is to provide first class service and customer care to direct clients, brokers and cover holders.

Key result Areas

* Be able to handle seasonal high volumes of inbound & make outbound telephone calls from/to direct clients/brokers/introducers

* Process all quotes/mid- term adjustments/cancellations/renewals and transfer onto an in-house system & website to a high level of accuracy

* Compliance with all GDPR & TCF requirements by adhering to strict procedures including the recording of client preferences for documents & marketing

* Process card payments via a separate Data Cash system & enforce security of clients financial details using telephone call suppression system

* Collaborate with colleagues and all key interfaces to ensure high level of client experience at all times

* Escalate complex policy wording and rating queries to the in house underwriting team

* Be pro-active to find ways to improve service to clients and business income streams

* Ensure all SLA’s(Service Level Agreements) are met through the careful prioritising of work

* Awareness of the workloads of others, assisting when necessary to ensure SLA’s are met

* Assist other Departments when business requires

* Strong communicator – written & oral

* Strong admin & data entry skills
