Teaching Assistant

A Teaching Assistant is required immediately to offer support to a KS2 Year 5 pupil with a IEP for their SEBD/ADHD statements within a Primary School situated within an easy commute from Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Birmingham and Warwickshire areas.

The ideal Teaching Assistant MUST have:

* Minimum of 6 months full time experience of working as a Teaching Assistant

* Experience of working with SEBD/ADHD primary aged pupils

* Experience of working within a PRU (desirable)

* Conflict Intervention training (desirable)

* Be fully Enhanced CRB cleared

The position has come about through this excellent school being asked to look after a new pupil with a full time statement (the position is full time 32.5 hours a week). The ideal candidate would have experience of working with pupils of similar nature and will be able to utilise their Skills and experience in terms of dealing with this pupil if any conflict ever arises via their SEN. The school will provide TeamTEACCH training in April 2019 or as soon as you start this role. The pupil is not violent but can be badly behaved and needs the successful candidate to hit the ground running setting their expectations regarding behaviour right from word go. This would help the pupil to be in calm and controlled setting to enjoy their education.

The position is due to start as soon as the school has found the ideal candidate, ideally for April 2019. After 12 weeks on being on a temporary contract, all going well, you will be taken on permanently by the school.
