Our client are the world leader in the manufacture of Industrial LED Lighting Solutions for a wide range of markets. Over the past 90 years our client have revolutionised the LED market with new innovative products, exceptional customer service and genuinely having a product they are proud of.

With exponential growth and new markets and products on the horizon they are looking to grow their Engineering team based in London, the role is for a Certification & Compliance Engineer reporting into the EMEA Engineering Manager.

As a member of the technical team for LED Industrial Lighting Products, you will lead the certification and compliance of all products for the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:

Certification and compliance of new products to all relevant national and international safety and construction standards/legislation
Collaboration with certification and compliance engineers based in the US
Acquiring, liaison and management of multiple external European test and certification bodies, to ensure cost effective and timely product approvals

Required Skills & Experience:

Ideally a degree in Engineering or significant, proven experience in the relevant field
Experience of the CE certification process, procedures and testing requirements for industrial electrical products
Experience of the ATEX/IECEx certification process, procedures, protection methods and testing requirements for industrial electrical products (Desirable)
Extensive knowledge of managing certification and test house bodies deploying suitable project planning methodologies and tools
Negotiation with external test houses and certification bodies
Experience in the development of budgets
Experience within a similar heavy, industrial environment, i.e. candidates from a Lighting, Automation, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Military background
