Position: Accounts Assistant
Location: The Wilton Centre, Redcar, Cleveland, TS10 4RF
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £22,000 to £25,000 depending on experience

About the role:

We have a new role for an Accounts Assistant working as part of the Client Accounting team supporting Head Office Client Accounting and Credit Control teams.

The goal is to ensure that M J Mapp are able to collect occupational charges from tenants on behalf of the Landlord within the agreed deadlines and provide assistance to all relevant parties to achieve best possible debt positions, monitor and report on same.

Responsibilities:

- Occupier facing MJM Accounts representative
- Updating the Property Management System with communications with occupiers
- Production and analysis of statements and reconciliations between MJM and occupiers own records
- Providing date to aide query resolution
- Liaising the MJM Client Accounts and Credit Control team
- Periodic travel to other MJM offices & Science Parks where requested (Cost of travel arrangements covered)
- Assisting the MJM Client Accounting team with ad hoc duties as required
- Accurate input of information and maintenance of records
- Compliance with internal procedures and RICS regulations

About you:

- Numerical and financial awareness
- Good written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills, capable of communicating at various levels including direct meetings with occupiers
- Experience working with Tramps would be an advantage, but is not essential
- Interest in continuous improvement and development of new technologies
- Effective PC skills, ability to input and report accurately
- This would suit an individual with Customer Service experience and some exposure to finance and/or book-keeping
