Robust and experienced SME accountant immediately required on a temporary basis to look after the finance function for our rurally based service sector client located within an easy commute of Newark, Southwell, Burton Joyce, Calverton and Bingham. Permaent employment envisaged for the successful candidate.

As an experienced accountant your responsibilities will include producing accounts to trial balance across their 4 core businesses, undertaking intercompany transactions, VAT returns and payroll.

* Bookkeeping

* Upgrading and maintaining business accountancy operations using Xero

* Reconciling bank and control accounts

* Accounts Payable and Receivable

* Quarterly VAT returns and bi-monthly for Ireland

* Payroll for up to 130 on a seasonal basis

* Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts

The successful accountant will be confident and self-assured, be used to working for SMEs, enjoy rolling their sleeves up and undertaking all aspect of accounts from transactional duties to preparing and presenting monthly management accounts.

Suit upbeat and enthusiastic team player who is keen to work with a friendly team but is also capable of working within a busy and challenging environment.

Xero experience an advantage. AAT qualification preferred
