Aerospace/Composite Repair Technician for company on outskirts of Andover. 23-35k dependent on experience, 6% enhanced company pension scheme, healthcare, free parking and numerous other optional benefits.

Our client is looking for an Aerospace/Composite Repair Technician to join their small, friendly team on a permanent basis, in repairing prestigious aerospace components. You don't have to have exact experience but as long as you can demonstrate intricate craftsmen skills, training will be provided

As the Aerospace/Composite Repair Technician you will be:

• Demonstrating good craftsmanship hand skills as required in Aerospace Metal and Composite repairs
• Familiar with Carbon and Glass Fabrics, Alloys and Metals, Honey Comb Structures, Adhesives, Films and Pre Preg Resin Systems
• Performing Bonding applications of Composites and Metal together with Fabrication of various parts and assembly
• Familiar with the repair process of curing using Ovens, Bond Controllers, Bagging techniques, both vacuum and pressure, as well as the use of tools and fixtures
• Following written instructions both internal as well as multi OEM repair publications, read drawings and work to tight tolerances and exacting standards
• Using hand measuring equipment as well as grinding, routers cutting and polishing tools

To succeed as the Aerospace/Composite Repair Technician you will have:

• A stable employment record with no gaps
• Good written and oral communication skills and strong command of the English language
• Be used to 6S, LEAN and Continual Improvement methodologies and be proactive and compliant in ESH and Quality
• Self-driven, proactive and motivated to achieve excellence and able to maintain KPIs
• Be used to working in a continual improvement environment with a positive attitude
• Must be able to play a key part in a small team
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs to include Maths & English (Grade C or above)
• Ideally live within a 30 minute commute distance from the facility

Associated Benefits:

• 23k - 35k pa. Starting salary is commensurate with experience
• Annual bonus up to 10%
• 8.00 - 16.30 Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays. This increases to 23 & 25 days subject to length of service and attendance record
• Company pension contribution of 6%
