Becoming a Consultant – DB Consulting (DBC&SM) with Employee Benefits:

You will work as part of a team managing and advising a portfolio of corporate and trustee clients. The role requires strong pension knowledge and excellent client management skills.

What you will do:

Develops excellent relationships with client portfolio and understand their needs and objectives
*

Ensures regular contact with all clients within the portfolio
*

Makes a significant personal contribution to the development of the team’s consulting capability, collateral and people
*

Able to effectively communicate complex and technical issues to clients and colleagues
*

Maintains and develops a breadth of knowledge about all the services offered by the business and a complete understanding of those offered by the Practice
*

Produces advice to checking/peer review level on strategic/major issues that could result in substantial business risk
*

Responsible for delivery of low-medium value and risk client advice and projects
*

Identifies solutions and risks for clients based upon an expert understanding of their situation and relevant technical, regulatory and statutory requirements
*

Acts in accordance with any statutory/professional/CEB guidelines including (but not limited to);

*

Continuing Professional Development
*

Peer review (including maintaining accurate, complete and up-to-date records)
*

Time recording (including maintaining accurate, complete and up-to-date records)
*

Conflicts of interest
*

Risk Management
*

Management of Errors and Omissions

Your experience will include:

Essential

*

Previous industry specific experience, particularly pensions
*

Knowledge of benefits legislation
*

High level of English language skills
*

Proficient in all relevant IT packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
*

Excellent analytical and communication skills
*

Proactive
*

Works positively with colleagues
*

General business understanding

Desirable

*

Technical pension qualification (PMI)
