Application Support Analyst (SQL) - Chippenham - £30,000 - £40,000 (plus 30 days holiday) A leading software house in Chippenham is urgently seeking a new application support analyst with experience of solving issues down to an SQL level. The role offers a varied challenge - you will have the opportunity to get involved in all areas of the technology stack. Your primary focus will be on Application support, but you will also get involved in Implementation and Configuration and they will help you to develop new skills in analysis or customer facing projects over time. Core responsibilities: First/Second/Third tier support for a bespoke web application Day to day support to include technical, functional and user analysis Creation and implementation of data fixes System configuration - triage of issues and liaison with configuration team Creation and maintenance of SQL reports, data transformations, data loads Some Linux Systems Administration Logging and testing of fixes Liaison with dev/test for bug fixes Application performance analysis As the successful candidate you must have; Experience as an application support professional External client experience - strong customer focus SQL/data analysis - competant skills in some form of SQL e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL etc Competant Linux skills ITIL - basic awareness Must have excelletn communication skills - both verbal and written You will be rewarded with an excellent basic salary of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on skills and experience plus benefits that include 30 days holiday.
