Position: Transport Development Officers Location: Leicester Job type: Full Time, one is a fixed term contract until 17th September 2021 and the other until 31st March 2020. Salary: £21,074 to £23,111 per annum Closing date: 28th March 2019 About the role: They are looking for two Transport Development Officers to work on improving Leicester’s air quality by influencing the type of transport used to move around and through the city. Responsibilities: - Promote more environmentally friendly modes of transport, to a variety of internal and external stakeholders, increasing their take-up and improve the air quality of Leicester. - Develop and deliver transport related projects to a high standard, on time and within budgetary limits, including a large personalised travel planning programme to residents and employees living in the northeast of the city. - Work with Transport Strategy colleagues and partners to develop transport related policies, procedures and projects. - Ensure documentation required is in line with project management standards, in particular, to manage, identify and minimise risk, within grant agreements and maintain close contact with relevant professionals and agencies, internally and externally. - Prepare and present reports to senior management providing transport policy, project and management information, and support as required. About you: - Educated to degree level in a relevant field, or significant equivalent work experience in a relevant field. - Experience in and an ability to write clear and concise reports and to present to a range of audiences. - Experience of and an ability to negotiate and persuade with the aim of delivering objectives with partners.
