Your CNC Miller role

Working under the direct supervision of the Milling Team Leader and Manufacturing & Quality Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for CNC programming, setting and operating CNC Bridgeport/Heidenhain & Doosan/Fanuc 3 and 4 axis vertical machining centres. This involves:

- Planning, programming with CAD/CAM Systems.
- Setting and operating multiple CNC Bridgeport/Heidenhain & Doosan/ Fanuc 3 & 4 axis vertical machining centres
- Managing and Prioritising workflow to maximise production efficiency
- Ensuring the consistent "better than the norm" quality of items are being manufactured
- Ensuring on time delivery
- Assisting in mentoring apprentices.
- Conforming to the requirements of ISO 9001
- Some manual machining , tool fitting and other assembly work as required
- You will demonstrate alignment and the ability to live and work by Penta's Core Values
- Good housekeeping and any other workshop duties as required by the business

About You

To be considered for a role as a CNC Miller with Penta Precision, we are looking for someone that not only has extensive post apprenticeship practical knowledge and experience, but also possess the following attributes:

- Pro-active, motivated and a self-starter with a desire to work within a progressive organisation
- Practical knowledge of programming, setting and operating CNC 3 and 4 axis vertical machining centres
- Off line CAD/CAM programming experience would also be an advantage but full training will be provided if required
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop manufacturing methods
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload in a fast paced environment
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Fantastic people skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships along with mentoring and training other team members
- A continued drive to improvement and progress
