An exciting opportunity has arisen to join my client - a successful and friendly company - as a Permanent Accounts Assistant and they would love someone on board who is looking to employ somebody who is looking for a career within a finance department and who may have started their AAT qualifications or who would be interested in taking them in the future.

As Accounts Assistant working in the Finance team, your primary responsibility is maintaining the accuracy & integrity of the ledgers and to support colleagues in a variety of tasks in order to help deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
As Accounts Assistant working in the Finance team, your primary responsibility is undertaking purchase ledger responsibility and to support colleagues in a variety of tasks in order to help deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main:
* Process and approve invoices and maintain Purchase Ledger for destination specific overseas
* Process and approve invoices and maintain Purchase Ledger for the Worldwide Department
* Process and approve invoices and maintain Purchase Ledger for all overhead invoices including credit cards
* Prepayments for COS & Overheads
* Purchase ledger statement reconciliations
* Ad hoc cover
* Ad hoc reporting
Other:
* Participate in regular meetings relevant to your team. Create training files and ensure notes are compiled and kept up-to-date.
* Archiving
* Ensure that you understand and are comfortable with your own work aims and objectives with the aim to meeting these on a consistent basis.
* Assist other teams and departments as required.
* To support your teams and individuals in times of absence, at peak times or when the business needs dictate.
* Maintain flexible working hours to facilitate customer needs and expectations.
1. INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Awareness of your own progress regarding personal targets, and successful achievement or more of these targets
* Participate in regular staff appraisals and reviews and be aware of your own development needs
* Ensure that you are aware of the Company’s business aims and targets
* Work and liaise with others departments within the organisation.
