Our client, a Farm Shop, within a beautiful rural location, is currently recruiting for a Senior Sales Assistant to join their enthusiastic team. Situated in between Oxford and Thame, this opportunity is super exciting in that it is a new opening as a result of the popularity and fast growth of the business. Ideal for a candidate with a natural ability to provide an excellent level of service and a love of food, our client is passionate about offering fresh home grown and locally sourced produce.

Key Responsibilities:

* Running the farm shop on a daily basis;

* Reflect the company’s ethos and core values through a positive atmosphere that is friendly, professional and productive;

* Ensure a high level of customer service, through obtaining product knowledge and training;

* Contribute to maintaining presentation and hygiene standards of the store;

* Ensure all sales and operational policies and procedures are upheld;

* Accurately process all till transactions;

* Ensuring all stock is priced correctly;

* Build new and continue existing customer relationships;

* Accurately ordering stock and ensuring rotation / replenishment;

* Working alongside the on-site butcher and chef;

* Involvement in events and projects to further build brand growth and drive business;

* Opening / closing duties.

Core Skills and profile required:

* Smiley, energetic, positive person, with an enthusiasm for business growth;

* Logical, forward thinking and efficient throughout all tasks;

* Driven, self – motivated, using initiative with a productive, “can do” attitude;

* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to adapt to all customer demographics;

* The ability to read customers and the understanding to tailor your service accordingly;

* Passionate about the brand and working within a food environment, buying into the ethos and being an ambassador at all times;

* Pragmatic, keeping calm and under control in busy situations;

* Previous retail experience preferred, however a customer facing service background considered;

* Food hygiene training beneficial, but not essential, will be provided if required;

* Due to the location you must be able to drive and have your own transport.

Should you be successful you will be required to work 5 days per week 9.30am – 5.30pm Tuesday to Friday and Saturday or Sunday, for a salary of £18,000 per annum.
