An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Head of Business Analysis to join our Transformation and Innovation function in Stirling or Reading. In this role you will be accountable for proactively working with the business to identify, shape and prioritise the strategic solution design and requirements that will drive business benefit and achieve strategic objectives. You will be accountable for all IT and business change funded by the investment runway and in conjunction with the Heads of Change, Innovation and Architecture will be responsible for the successful interoperation of the overall requirements and objectives that align to the business strategy, developing innovative and robust solution requirements and the delivery of the required end solutions. Key Responsibilities: To develop and maintain a suite of business analysis standards to support the successful development and delivery of business outcomes across the programmes. Maintain effective relationships with Heads of Change, key business stakeholders and sponsors and where required 3 rd parties. Line management and development of a team of professional business analysts across several mission critical programmes. Develop and implement a robust design governance framework which supports the future strategic direction of the business. Lead and govern business and technical change solution design ensuring sustainability and futureproofing of solutions in line with strategic objectives. Maintain a blueprint of the business design ensuring all change is appropriately assessed and where it deviates from the strategic principles, exceptions are granted. Execute effective governance oversight over business analysis staff ensuring standards of support are being delivered and maintained. Undertake effective assurance across all programmes ensuring the appropriate level of business analysis support is being applied. Maintain a level of insight across all programme deliveries to input into senior forums and Committees. You will have: Experience of managing large scale programmes/projects in a financial services regulated environment Experience of Change Management methodologies and techniques (e.g. AGILE and/or PRINCE2) Leadership/Management qualifications Experience of leading teams of senior analysts Experience of monitoring and reporting in a Programme environment Working knowledge of risk management principles and their impacts on projects Excellent stakeholder management, attention to detail and organisational skills Proven experience in overseeing the design, development and implementation of business and technical solutions in a financial services environment. Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts. Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
