We have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our team based in Rickmansworth. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return receive a competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum plus benefits. As our Data Analyst you will be tasked with delivering timely reporting and insight across the Verex Group business. You will provide support to all functional leaders in terms of Management Information to aid the process of decision-making. The role is also designed to develop the Groups data and intelligence capabilities, building analytical models and predictive intelligence to aid Verex’s ambitions to be the prominent data and analytics led insurance and aftercare business within the UK. Our Data Analyst will have the below Key Responsibilities: - Identify and acquire new sources of data, internal and external, structured and unstructured, adding richness to the Verex Group’s data warehouse for the development of risk and opportunity based intelligence - Running the daily routines of the Verex Group Master Data Management processes. Ensuring data integrity and governance are maintained to the highest quality and compliance standards - Manage and report performance metrics across the Group’s trading activities, monitoring trends and flagging exceptional variances in a timely fashion - Leveraging the Verex data warehouse and relational databases with 3rd parties to develop predictive data science capabilities for the purpose of strategic decision making activities. - Provide support to the Verex Insurer Development team in terms of product performance, pricing analysis & trends, loss ratios and underwriter interactions - Provide support to the Verex Assistance teams in terms of product performance, claims analysis, dealer performance and repair network interactions - Continuously deliver value to the Verex Group by driving MI on customer analysis, demographic clustering, footprint expansion and other intelligence as required from time to time - Present findings of analysis to key stakeholders at all levels within the business including knowledge sharing and awareness workshops Our Ideal Data Analyst will have the below skills and experience; - Ideally a degree or postgraduate award in Mathematics, Computer Science or similar statistical subject - Programming language with analytical capabilities such as R, Python, SQL etc - Strong background and experience working with all Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI - Familiarity with other relational databases - Skilled in Reporting and data visualisation software, with strong presentation skills - Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques - Knowledge and experience of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques Attributes our ideal Data Analyst will have: - Problem-solving skills - The ability to analyse, model and interpret data - The ability to plan work and meet deadlines - Attention to detail and highly articulate - An effective team player - Highly numeric and analytical - Excellent communication skills both verbally and written - Comfortable with detail, proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership - Actively seek knowledge as well as sharing learning’s with other team members If you feel you are the right candidate for the role as our Data Analyst, then please click ‘apply’ now!
