Digital Outsourcing Team Leader Background Condies, an innovative Fife and Edinburgh-based accountancy firm with its headquarters in Dunfermline, is seeking an experienced team leader to join their exciting expanding department, leading the way in technology and digital accounting solutions. Leading and introducing clients and colleagues to new ways of thinking and working. Helping to constantly look at up to date technology, efficiencies and systems reviews that will assist our clients to make business decisions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced team leader with extensive experience in providing an end to end solution for bookkeeping, vat, and management accounts for a wide range of clients in various sectors to join our team and work in a friendly and supportive environment. Main Responsibilities: Ensure the team runs efficiently using up to date technology and applications. Using software such as Xero & QuickBooks. Assist and support the team with queries and more complex VAT and bookkeeping problems. Ensure everything is processed in a timely and accurate manner with the least amount of disruption to our clients. Providing ongoing technical support to the team and our clients on all cloud software matters. To ensure that you and the team develop an excellent cross section of knowledge across the key areas of cloud accounting, bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts. Keeping up to date with accounting standards and advancements in technology. Act responsibly and proactively acknowledge deadlines, organising your workload and that of the team to ensure efficient and timely service. Excellent knowledge of VAT and be able to review VAT returns prepared by both clients and by your team. Provide feedback to your team and clients effectively to ensure quality of records. Liase with the Digital Solutions Manager regarding clients where necessary. Bringing any matters to their attention as and when required. Train clients to use Xero to deliver information to the level agreed in the initial quote and engagement letter with excellent client service skills and the ability to engage at all levels. Assist in training of colleagues and delegation of work to the team. Help with the change to Making Tax Digital and ensuring our clients are ready for the new requirements. Skills and Competencies: Experience of working in a similar role ideally in an accountancy practice. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Strong IT skills and have experience using cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage. Ability to ensure that the team maintain the client’s bookkeeping systems in such a fashion to ensure that our added value services and management accounts are seamlessly produced from the bookkeeping records with minimum intervention by the accounts team. Able to use your own initiative to improve the delivery of excellent client service. Enjoy working as part of a team and liaising directly with clients to build relationships. Ideally have a formal bookkeeping or accounts qualification. Confident working both on-site at client locations and in-house demonstrations of software including delivering training.
