Sewell Wallis have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a large and reputable company based in Halifax. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a modern and well-established organisation in a varied and fast paced Accounts Assistant role. The company has a good record of progressing staff internally and due to the recent set up of new teams has plenty of opportunity for the right candidate.

The Role: Accounts Assistant
Salary: £18,000 - £23,000 depending on experience
Location: Halifax

As the Accounts Assistant your duties will include:

• Daily reconciliation of all bank accounts
• Posting of all payments and receipts on to finance software
• Coding, matching and posting of all purchase invoices
• Raising sales invoices and credit notes
• Dealing with customer and supplier finance queries
• Raising supplier payments
• Credit Control
• Support with any ad-hoc finance administration

As the successful candidate you should:

• Have good working knowledge of Excel
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Have excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Able to work to deadlines
• Enjoy working as part of a team
