Job DescriptionFinance Manager / Management Accountant Hinckley £30k to £40k The Opportunity Pending retirement has created this new and exciting opportunity to join a family owned engineering business with a long history. You will work as part of the senior management team to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiencies with your main responsibility to be proving insight and guidance to the operational areas of the business. The Role Reporting to the MD, you will oversee the finance operations managing one assistant, ensuring compliance and financial integrity. In addition, there is a business partnering angle to this role where my client is seeking somebody who can "get under the skin" of the business, develop reporting process and controls to better achieve maximised profits and control of variable costs. Of course, being an owner managed, smaller business of £5m turnover with 65 people, there is always the need for sleeves to be rolled up and assist where required within the transactional processing areas. Responsible for 1 member of staff Strategic planning, financial analysis and modelling Preparation of budgets and financial forecasting Cost analysis and cost reduction Oversee (and assist with) Sales and Purchase Ledger including debtors and creditors management Produce Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Management Accounts and present to Directors Meeting Maintaining Asset Register Managing Asset Finance Lease Agreements Management of Statutory Accounting requirements and Compliance The Candidate We are seeking a commercially astute Accountant who possesses strong experience within manufacturing / engineering who can demonstrate the ability to apply accounting principles to the operational side of a business. You will also need to be a strong influencer with excellent communication and presentation skills with a flair for building strong relationships Your analytical approach, coupled with advanced technical skills, particularly Excel will bode very well indeed for the responsibilities and accountabilities being allocated to this role. Desirable would some form of qualification however QBE will be considered. Also desirable would be Payroll experience (currently outsourced) and Quickbooks.
