Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results - for the second year running.
You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.
We think you will enjoy working for us but you don't have to take our word for it - 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy's and St Thomas' as a place to work.

Are you a naturally caring person who loves to make a difference to others no matter how small that difference might be?

We are looking for staff to work Full time and Flexibly in our inpatient wards, outpatient areas across both Guys and St Thomas' site and within our community hospitals. You will be required to work long days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Are you the type of person who respects other people, treats them fairly and accepts them for who they are?

Do you like getting things done? And are you known for being hard-working and reliable?

We want our patients to receive the best possible care from people for whom nothing is too much trouble. So if you recognise yourself in the description above and it excites you to think you could be one of our team caring for our patients on a daily basis, we would love to hear from you.

Do not worry if you don't have any formal care background. We can teach you the skills of a good nursing assistant. What we want is the right kind of person who will thrive in this important work.

Please ensure that tell us in your supporting statement why you would be the best candidate for the post and what skills and knowledge your previous jobs and experiences have given you to support you in this role

Here's what one of our Nursing Assistants says about the job:

"For me the job means putting yourself out there for patients and the team - truly caring about what you do and the impact you have"

Applicants that have been unsuccessful for nursing assistant roles in the Trust within the last three months are unable to apply.

Closing date: Sunday 24th March 2019 (midnight)

The Assessment will be in two parts:

Assessment/Exam date Thursday 11th April 2019

If successful at the assessment stage candidates will be invited for interviews on Wednesday 17th April 2019

NB Please be aware that if you are successful at interview we may not be able to allocated you to an appropriate clinical area straight away so your application will be held in a talent pool (with your permission) until an appropriate vacancy becomes available, At this point you may then be invited for an informal visit to the area.
