Job Title: Night Shift Team Leader

Salary: £28,600 - £35,750 (DOE) + benefits and bonus

Location: North Devon

Are you a night owl? Unafraid of the dark? Well if so, we’d like to speak with you! Acorn Recruitment is working in connection with a first class manufacturing organisation in search of a Night Shift Team Leader.

The position is responsible for overseeing all activities associated with manufacturing and production of deliverable product to meet customer expectations within a defined production area. The successful candidate will monitor and manage hourly personnel in the assignment of work responsibilities, development and alignment of resources to load. The position drives continuous improvement in production, quality and safety whilst promoting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Include:

• Drive communication and performance though daily team meetings and daily meeting with your Production Supervisor and Managers. Encourage 2 way communication and for the team to share ideas.

• Evaluate and manage manning levels, managing shift patterns and overtime. Manage holiday for team members to meet production demands.

• Drive continuous improvement and application through the companies lean tools. (Including Kaizen and Rapid Improvement and 5S standards).

• Performance Management of all team members. Deliver effective goals setting, quarterly reviews and development actions for all team members. Train and coach team members. Conduct monthly Performance reviews for Non-Performers.

• Support recruitment, selection activities and much more.

Essential Experience Required:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations.

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience leading others.

• Proficient in reading and writing English.

• Computer Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.

Desirable Experience:

• Lean manufacturing/Operational Excellence skills in 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, process focused

• Problem solving skills (e.g. 8-D or A3)

• Intrinsically motivated, champion of change, visionary
