Purpose:

As a member of the Reward & Recognition team this role provides compensation, international assignment, recognition, pension and benefits support in alignment with an agreed strategy and framework. The purpose of this being to execute or enable execution of global strategy and programmes.

Key Accountabilities:

Supporting and in some areas managing cyclical compensation, and recognition objectives

Support on the annual Pension and Benefits enrolment process

Managing, Job Evaluation and Benchmarking processes including evaluation of roles, survey submission and supplier relationships

Developing and maintaining End User Applications including letter templates to meet the needs of the Reward & Recognition team

Coaching and being an SME for key stakeholders on all Reward and Recognition deliverables

Supporting design of compensation, international assignee pension and benefits deliverables

Managing and understanding the accruals process and being the key liaison point for the Finance team

HRIS compensation and benefit SME

Accountabilities and Activities:

Understand the needs of the business to co-create, develop and plan Reward and Recognition activities to support business objectives.

Understand the needs of the Reward and Recognition and wider HR team, to co-create, develop and plan activities to support business objectives.

Support on all areas of Reward and Recognition including year end comp review

Administration and letter production including the design of complex mail merges supporting pay review

Own, manage and deliver monthly cyclical processes e.g. Recognition Award Scheme

Continuously improve, maintain and update processes, policies and process flows relating to the compensation, recognition, pension, benefits and international assignee policy

In accordance with the agreed framework supporting and maintaining relationships with providers and internal stakeholders relating to compensation, recognition, pension, benefits and international assignee population

Primary responsibility for proposing and assessing roles using Hay evaluation methodology for the Job Evaluation board

Maintain and evaluate benchmarking data including managing supplier relationship – this involves the ability to assess roles using benchmarking methodology e.g. McLagan and Willis Towers Watson, managing all aspects of annual survey submission, data review and load to HRIS

Owning the primary relationship with the HR business partnering team coaching on day to day reward issues and queries involving incentive arrangements, benchmarking and job evaluation

The first point of contact for the Colleague Assistance team with respect to queries relating to Reward and Recognition escalating as appropriate

In accordance with the agreed framework managing the quarterly accrual and annual budget process for incentives including liaison with the Finance team

Understanding and modelling complex Reward and Recognition proposals e.g. incentive designs

Support on Reward and Recognition employee communications including drafting letters, templates and guidelines e.g. complex LTA and AA guides for tax year end

Assist on preparation of Remuneration Committee, Executive Committee and other Board papers

Understanding and application of Governance and Remuneration regulatory frameworks e.g. Solvency II

Design of End User Applications to meet specified HR and business requirements e.g. Annual Salary Review Master Sheet and letter templates for employee communications

SME in respect of system configuration (Workday and Pension/Benefit platforms) necessary to support compensation, international assignee and pensions and benefit framework

Skills Required:

Experience of working with a range of benefit arrangements across multiple geographies eg. pension and flex bens plans

Experience of managing and administering an International Assignee population

Experience of using HRIS, specifically Workday would be an advantage

Advanced Excel user able to handle large datasets, data analytics and modelling. Intermediate user of VBA and Macros

Understanding of the regulatory framework for financial services companies

Evidence of building a strong reputation for personal excellence and delivery in the businesses in which they have worked

Experience of working in organisations within matrix structures

Evidence of a collaborative approach to developing solutions

Able to evaluate situations rationally and make decisions based on knowledge and experience
