Term-time only Marketing Assistant – 25 hours per week

A rare opportunity for an experienced Marketing Assistant to work part-time, term-time only at a leading school in Romsey area. Working 5 days per week, you will support the marketing plan in line with the schools pre-set objectives and values; you will also manage and develop digital communication tools and social media platforms.

The Marketing Assistant will work with a small senior management team and key stakeholders in order to:

* Monitor and manage the use and development of digital communications tools and the use of established and emerging social media platforms, coordinating a regular social media provision.

* Publicise school events and news stories via the website on a regular basis.

* Oversee the development of video content and use video effectively on social media channels.

* Coordinate and support the production of publications, including school information booklets, prospectus and annual review.

* Organise and oversee the production of publicity materials, including signs, branded goods, banners, leaflets and posters to promote Open Days etc

* Liaise with the media to build effective relationships and encourage the development of a positive media profile.

* Work closely with the IT team to ensure consistency and clarity of parent communication, across the intranet, mailouts, website and social media and identify opportunities to enhance parent communication.

* Further develop relationships with existing feeder schools and establish relationships with new feeder schools through a programme of visits and activities.

* Support the management of the publicity budget by raising purchase orders and ensuring invoices are sent promptly to Finance colleagues.

* Attend marketing events including the occasional evening and weekend commitment to promote the school

The successful Marketing Assistant will have previous marketing experience, strong communication skills and attention to detail and a creative and proactive approach to your work. Experience of print media marketing and brand management is essential and graphic design and/or social media management is desirable. This exciting opportunity will need someone who is self-sufficient and able to manage their own workload with the support of a remote marketing team.
