Empowering Learning is currently working alongside a school in Salford that provides specialist education for pupils aged 2 to 11 years all of whom have an Education Health Care Plan and have profound, complex or challenging needs.

Your responsibilities may consist of the following:

* To support teachers in providing a learning environment that meets the sensory and personal development needs of children

* To support teachers in providing a learning environment that meets the spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs of children

* To support teachers in establishing, evaluating and reviewing of Education Health Care Plans (EHC)

* To contribute to the safety of the pupils

* To contribute to reviews and assessments and maintain accurate, up-to-date records as required

* To implement school policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety and general welfare of children

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and help promote their independence. You will need to show initiative and empathy while supporting the teacher in creating a learning environment that enables pupils to achieve their potential. You will be required to support the students in a 1:1, 2:1 or in small groups, depending on individual needs, within the classroom under the direction of the class teacher to help to create a stimulating classroom environment.
