Location: London, UK Salary: Competitive and meets national/living wage Posting Date: 20 March 2019 Closing Date: 17 April 2019 The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role for the day to day finance operations of the business and ensuring the on-time recording of high quality financial data for month end reporting against latest forecasts within the group timetable internally to the Lightbox team and Externally to Group reporting requirements. This role is also responsible to help ensure a rigorous control environment is maintained to group standards. Key Responsibilities Ensure financial transactions and reporting are completed and reported in line with Group and local statutory requirements. Responsible for timely payment of vendors cycle through managing Assistant Accountant on AP end-to-end process including purchase order management and T&E claims and payment runs. Identifying relevant Capex costs, applying correct policy and depreciation whilst reporting against project expenditure plan. Act as point of contact for internal stakeholders and group finance teams for financial reporting queries and reporting issues. Accurate recording of costs in the ledgers against the relevant department cost centre, and for preparing and analysing monthly variances against latest forecasts for operating expenditure and compliant with group policies with upload and reconciliation into group reporting environments. Liaise with Internal audit to ensure a robust small business controls environment Reviewing and submitting local indirect-tax returns within deadlines Managing the month end close process – ensuring close meets timetable and responsibilities in team including month end journals, reconciling balance sheet, liaising with other Group company finance teams for balance reconciliations and settlements. Prepare statutory accounts and liaising with the auditors to ensure smooth and efficient year end audits Responsible for invoicing and sales cycle for B2B customers including reconciliation of account queries and reconciliation and revenue recognition for both B2B and B2C revenue streams. Preparing annual budget and two revisions during the year with liaising with the Lightbox teams to achieve the set strategy. Education/Qualifications Educated to degree level with relevant accounting qualification Knowledge and Skills Understands and applies relevant accounting principles, IFRS, policies and processes Understands the principles of effective financial systems – SAP, AFC, HSF, Avalara, Dynamics GP, Management reporter, Jet reports and workflow. Applies Governance and Compliance knowledge to organisational processes and procedures and understands how governance, risk and compliance processes impact on the business Uses a range of data and information sources to produce management reports Having a flexible approach being able to work cross-functionally as new challenges arise in different teams as business evolves Being deadline driven to meet stringent group closing requirements.
