Job DescriptionHead Chef Cool, funky restaurant brand I am currently working with a nice restaurant group looking for a great Head Chef with ambition, drive and energy, who is experienced in working within a busy kitchen environment to lead their team in creating and delivering delicious, locally sourced fresh food - Everything is made fresh on site from scratch, every day! As head chef, you need to be self-motivated with passion, and have experience in running commercial kitchens, with the ability to work within budgets and achieve strong GP's. Working closely with the restaurant manager to run a well-maintained kitchen, overseeing a team of Chefs, where you will lead and manage your team from the front-line. You will need to be hands on and want to continue to develop your skills within the kitchen whilst helping to coach and develop the team around you serving all your customers with excellence. Part of an exciting trendy group of cool restaurants recently acquired by a great operator, the core values of the business remain the same with each restaurant making use of the best local produce from around the area. Required Skills: * Hands on, passionate, Energetic Self-motivated individual * Lead by example and have a proven ability in engaging, managing and develop the team around you. * Proven track record in delivering high quality dishes in a time pressured environment * Responsible for the ordering and controlling of stock * Passionate about food, standards & results understand the importance of company standards * Experience as a Head chef within a similar restaurant environment * Deliver excellent customer service, at all times & to pay attention to detail in all aspects of the customer journey. * Prepare, cook and present food quickly and efficiently, meeting house standards. * Work safely around kitchen equipment, monitor and deal with any maintenance issues. * Manage all kitchen related office administration. * Manage and maintain correct staffing levels. * Identify and take an active role in the recruitment of new staff members. * Maintain accurate food ordering, stocking levels & monitoring, including all kitchen materials. * Assist in achieving financial targets set out for the business. * Have a flexible approach to working hours. * Ensure that the kitchen operations comply with all the company's and statutory requirements including Health and Safety at Work Act and Food Hygiene Regulations. * Be involved and contribute at team meetings. * Carry out instructions given by the management team.
