Job DescriptionPurchasing Manager - Dudley Permanent Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 (+ benefits) DOE We are looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager for a global software & solutions company based in Dudley. You will be responsible for category management for the area of telephone, networks and connectivity so previous experience in this area, or experience working as a Purchasing Manager for a software & solutions company, is desirable. This role does have line management responsibility of a small team of Buyers so previously line management / team leadership experience is essential. You will be MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or working towards. Main Responsibilities: * Direct category management responsibility for the area of telephony, networks and connectivity , to include sourcing strategy, implementation, delivery and ongoing performance * Collate, validate and prepare Purchasing's board level 'saving performance reporting' * Work in partnership with internal stakeholders, identify saving potential and best value wherever possible * Preparing tenders, proposals and negotiating contracts * Develop and implement procurement solutions/supply strategies to provide strategic guidance on various sourcing requirement policies, procedures and categories * Select 'best fit' and complementary sources of supply which add value and deliver required levels of total QCDS performance In return my client can offer a competitive salary & package and the opportunity join a leading software and solutions company that has gone through a sustained period of growth.
