Payroll Supervisor

Due to continued growth, we are actively recruiting an experienced and proactive Payroll Supervisor to join a well-established service company on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, key responsibilities will include;

* Preparation of weekly/monthly payrolls

* Supervise junior members of payroll team

* Check and approve all payroll payments

* Weekly/monthly payroll reporting including headcount movements, overtime

* Be the subject matter expert for all payroll related enquiries across all companies.

* Assist in the design and implementation of new payroll software

* Preparation and negotiations with HMRC, where applicable, for: HMRC returns - P11ds, PSA etc and HMRC enquiries

Essential criteria:

* 3-5 years within a payroll capacity, preferably with a multi-faceted business.

* Full payroll knowledge of employee status, PAYE, NI, Pensions

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable working under your own direction and within a team. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and support non-finance colleagues.
