Marketing Executive – Digital and Events

My client is an exciting, fast-growing and established cloud SaaS business based in Reading

On the back of a run of record sales years, rapid continued growth and private equity investment, they are now looking to expand their marketing team of hard-working, fun marketers to capitalize on rapid continued growth in the cloud industry.

As Marketing Executive you will support the marketing team across the UK, Europe and South Africa with a specific focus on events and digital marketing. You will join a team of 7 marketers and play an instrumental role in delivering the global marketing plan. The role will be based in Reading and will report into the UK Head of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Events

o Research and produce a list of potential events to sponsor/exhibit at/attend

o Manage and execute program for customer engagement events – Roundtables and Executive dinners

o Assist channel marketing manager with co-branded, partner events

o Manage annual/bi/annual partner day or smaller, regional partner events

o Manage and execute participation in industry conferences. To include event strategy, KPIs, collateral, stand design, team briefings, lead capture and follow-up

o Measure accurate ROI of all events

o Assist with the distribution and tracking of MQLs and SQLs

o Own promotional merchandise and event collateral

• Digital

o Own the production of local content in our content management platform – Turtl

o Produce, maintain and update other collateral assets for the sales team

o Maintain the resources section on Web

o Become a product champion for Hubspot and assist with marketing automation and lead tracking

o Shadow the digital marketing executive across all digital tools including MS Dynamics, Hubspot, PowerBI, Lead Forensics, Lead Dynamics…

o Assist/own social media strategy

• Reporting

o Assist with creating the monthly board meeting marketing deck

o Track spend against budget on an ongoing basis

o Accurately track ROI against all spend you’re responsible for

o Work closely with the sales team, ensuring leads are actioned in a timely fashion with all relevant lead information accurately recorded

• Other

o Shadow Heads of Marketing (UK and SA) and provide assistance on projects as required

o Assist the CMO and heads of marketing on delivering the global demand generation program

o Assist with the office refit (project currently being scoped)


• 3+ years of marketing experience with a specific focus/interest in events and digital

• Comfortable using Marketing Automation and CRM tools such as MS Dynamics and Hubspot.

• Power user of networking tools such as LinkedIn and Twitter

• Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working

• Excellent project management skills

• Strong team player

• Marketing qualification preferred but not essential
