This is an interesting opportunity for a Homologation Engineer to join an extremely well-known and prestigious British automotive engineering organisation. You will be working with new and future automotive technologies that will appear in automotive markets around the world.
In this role, you will be involved with understanding automotive regulatory requirements and devising homologation test methodologies, to ensure type approval, while working closely with design teams, senior homologation engineers and test houses.
The company is enjoying a period of expansion from recent success, and so requires additional automotive Homologation Engineers to help contribute to the future of the business.
The role also involves travel to company sites around the world including locations such as Brazil, China, USA and Europe, to work on test programs and type approvals specific to the different regulatory requirements in international automotive markets.
Key Responsibilities: Homologation Engineer
* To execute effective type approval programs for new product models, in line with key dates.
* Devising new, cost-effective test and homologation methods and processes.
* Travelling around the world to various company facilities on a regular basis to ensure compliance to international automotive standards and type approval.
* To advise the design team when needed on Homologation matters where interpretation of a certain automotive regulation is required.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resilient and willing to travel overseas to conduct test programs.
This opportunity may suit a test or validation engineer, type approval engineer, technical author or technical administrator, conformance or verification engineer who is willing to move into automotive sector. A keen interest in the automotive world, whether cars or motorcycles, and experience working in this area would be desirable but not essential.
The role is based in Leicestershire. It is commutable from Leicester, Coventry, Tamworth, Rugby, Birmingham, Hinckley, Lutterworth and surrounding areas
