A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within a purpose built Nursery which opened in May 2015 on the site of the Wellington Primary Academy in Tidworth. The Nest is registered for 30 children between the ages of 2 – 5 years and opens from 7.30am – 6.00pm daily, 47 weeks of the year. A second Nursery for 30 children is due to open in January 2020 on the site of Wellington Eagles Primary Academy in Ludgershall, this role will involve working across both sites which are situated less than a mile for each other.

Due to growth we require a Key Worker to join our team. As a Key Worker, you will be responsible for a small group of key children within the nursery. You will work under the direction of the Nursery Manager to provide safe high quality education and care for young children.

Duties will include: Assisting with the planning of the curriculum; supporting the ethos of The Nest and to create a welcoming and family friendly environment; helping set up for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session; acting as a keyworker to a group of children liaising closely with carers/parents and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met; providing learning opportunities for children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation; keeping up to date with observation and record keeping of the children you are a keyworker to; writing a transfer record for each keyworker child when they leave the setting; completing the 2 year old assessment check. The weekly working pattern is to be agreed as there is a degree of flexibility around start and finish times. The 30 hours will be split over Monday to Friday and will require working across the two sites.

* A good level of education, with at least a grade 4 (C) in English and Maths at either GCSE / ‘O’ Level
