We have a rare and fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Engineer to join an industry-leading and specialist engineering firm.
Due to retirement of a loyal and long-serving member of staff in July 2019, then are keen to appoint a new Southern UK Sales & Projects Engineer.

The Role:
Reporting to the Sales Manager. you will need to be a proactive and highly motivated individual to work for an industry-leading manufacturer of automated screens and screenings handling equipment within the municipal wastewater industry. You must be based in the south of England and able to generate new business and maintain existing accounts throughout the south of England.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
* Demonstrate a successful background in project sales and business development
* Resilient and disciplined with the ability to be able to work alone within the territory
* Engineering or technical background, within the waste water utilities sector would be a distinct advantage
* Projects, capital plant and equipment sales experience
* Proficient negotiator and outstanding planning and organisational skills
* Contractual and commercial awareness
* Able to interpret, measure, sketch and report information obtained from site visits and surveys
* Ability to negotiate and win suitable projects to satisfy the customer requirements within the company’s capabilities
* A people’s person that can build relationships with key clients and their teams
Key Responsibilities:
* Field based role so must be able to work autonomously within your territory
* Develop new business and maintain and service existing clients
* Promptly following up on leads and sales opportunities
* Undertake site surveys and generate detailed and accurate reports
* Preparation of quotations and specifications for our clients
* Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, procurement and management personnel
* Attendance at exhibitions and commercial meetings
* Ensure that your territory sales potential is achieved
* Flexible approach to the demands and needs of the client and company
* Any other sales and marketing duties as reasonably requested
Interview process:
1st Interview – Will take place in the south of England
2nd Interview – May be required to travel to Head Office in Yorkshire
