Our client, a leading developer of housing support in the South West is seeking a Housing Support Worker for one of their medium-to-high level complex needs schemes in Bristol. The main function of the role is to provide practical support to those that have various complex needs such as substance misuse, mental health, homelessness experience to enable them to maintain their tenancies, participate in meaningful activities such as education, training or employment and resettle to appropriate accommodation in the community. This is a challenging yet rewarding role, allowing you to make a valuable difference, working in a team of like minded professionals. Flexibility to work every other weekend is essential, working on a weekly rota, there is no requirement to work overnight. The successful candidate will be able to establish positive working relationships with clients, support them with welfare benefit forms and deal with any disputes or maintenance issues. Some experience of housing management duties is advantageous encompassed with managing a caseload of clients and completing assessments.
