Senior IT Specialist (Identity and Collaboration Services) – £28,050 to £36,644 + Benefits – Cardiff, Wales The Role NHS Wales Informatics Service are looking for an experienced and talented Senior IT Specialist to develop, maintain and support the relevant systems for the Identity and Collaboration Services, for which they will be responsible for in accordance with the specifications and operational requirements of NHS Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career within the NHS. You will be joining a team that manages the infrastructure of NHS Wales; you will need to have some in-depth knowledge of Skype for Business, Mitel 3300 and MiVoice Business phone systems, and Polycom Video Conferencing platform. Having an awareness of networking concepts, such as SIP, H.323, IP subnets, routing, firewalls and having vendor certifications would also be advantageous. The key responsibilities of a Senior IT Specialist include, but are not limited to: Managing and maintaining the national services used to provide critical systems to NHS Wales Working with the design team to ensure effective implementation and acceptance into service of new systems Establish and maintain effective written and verbal communication with individuals and groups of customers and stakeholders of all levels, explaining difficult and highly complex IT processes and issues often being the specialist contact Conduct formal training seminars on the use of the systems and products; producing technical documentation allowing the continuing maintenance/development of services Working with and providing guidance to other teams within the Welsh NHS The Company NHS Wales Informatics Service supports the improvement of patient care through collaborative provision of high-quality information, systems and technologies.
