Privacy Office - Communications Manager 6 month FTC

About the role:

Our client is embarking upon a major GDPR training and awareness campaign with significant business benefits when delivered successfully and require a Communications Manager to support a successful outcome.

The role requires the effective delivery of their Privacy Comms Strategy, working with data Privacy SMEs and stakeholders to drive the GDPR programme and help motivate all involved to engage and embrace the changes. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-established internal communications professional with strong communications planning and delivery capability.

The Communications Manager will report to the Global Legal Compliance Director and the GDPR Programme Manager.

The successful candidate will ensure that all communication materials and activity are delivered consistently, to agreed standards and support the strategic objectives of the Data Privacy function.

Key responsibilities:

* Take ownership and deliver their Privacy communications strategy

* Produce and deliver communications plans that enable programme and project delivery

* Collaborate with key programme resources to identify, confirm and manage a list of key stakeholders and stakeholder groups for each business area

* Build strong working relationships with key team members to understand the change impacts at a detailed level and the extent of the changes from programme outcomes, risk mitigation, work style, user behaviours and supporting processes

* Understand the change impacts by business unit/persona and revise the communications deliverables accordingly

* Provide insight for communications medium, materials and feedback/evaluation methods

* Recommend, agree, plan and document the communications deliverables and activities that will support people through the change

* Create, develop and design the necessary communication methods and materials in support of their Privacy communications strategy and planned programme outcomes

* Support the programmes to manage engagement with stakeholder groups to meet success criteria and timelines

* Identify and manage associated risks and issues
