Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Buyer to work for a global Steel Organisation based in South Yorkshire. My client is a major international key player in the engineering sector who have recently undergone a period of transition, improving commercial activity and developing strategic plans for the business.

This role will suit a highly skilled procurement professional specialised in sourcing direct materials on an international scale. Demonstrating experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, risk mitigation, category development, managing tenders and setting up new frameworks.

You will demonstrate excellent MRP knowledge along with ability to plan, organise and execute a demanding workload. This is a key role within the business, working closely with internal stakeholders and playing a pivotal part in ensuring material is sourced and maintained efficiently at minimum cost to the business.

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

- Minimum 3 years Procurement experience within an engineering & technical manufacturing environment

- Strong MRP and Excel skills

- Excellent supplier management skills

- Experience in successfully negotiating cost savings and lead times with suppliers

- Highly process driven with the ability to increase efficiencies
