Ikano Bank have an exciting career opportunity on offer for a Risk Analyst at their award-winning centre in Nottingham. The Role In the role of Risk Analyst, you will play a key role within the UK analytics team who are vital in managing Ikano's growing credit risk exposures through ongoing portfolio analysis and reporting and the management, optimisation and development of credit strategies subsequently driving the business forward through the generation of recommendations. As a Risk Analyst in Ikano’s analytics department, you will: • Be responsible for on-going analysis and reports of Ikano’s growing loan and credit card portfolios. Be the first port of call for co-workers with portfolio performance queries • Investigate and provide in-depth insight into portfolio profiles and performance • Drive the business forward through the generation of recommendations. Key Accountabilities as Risk Analyst Credit Decisioning • Review scorecard monitoring on a quarterly basis providing challenge suggestions for scorecard redevelopment, cut off analysis, characteristic realignment. • Maintain list of authorities issued in the branch and undertake sample testing to ensure decisions are made in line with Credit Policy / Guideline / Instruction. Credit MI reporting and analysis • Produce monitoring to track adherence to the Credit Risk Appetite within key portfolio’s and provide monitoring to the LCC with early warning or limit indicators. • Produce the Portfolio Quality Report on a monthly basis and investigate any trends that are of concern. • Undertake 1-month and 6-month acquisition reviews for new retailers, highlighting the credit risk within the portfolio and any adverse trends. • Carrying out annual portfolio reviews highlighting the credit risk within the portfolio and any adverse trends. Provisioning and bad debt • Working with the common Risk Analytics Team, understand the monthly movements in LLP and NCL and add business commentary to this. Present the reporting into the LCC on a monthly basis. • Work in collaboration with Finance and Operations (both new lending and collections) to monitor bad debt performance and trends and action plans appropriately implemented if required. Team work • Maintain the UK Credit Instruction ensuring this complies with Bank Policies, Bank Guidelines, local regulation and best practice. • Undertake analysis to determine the risk consequences of any potential campaigns based on the business criteria being employed and produce performance monitoring following the execution of campaigns. • Support the evaluation and development of credit proposals and credit strategy change across portfolios, segments and individual retailers; Key skills and attributes • Degree level qualification in business studies / analysis / mathematics / statistics / economics or equivalent • Investigative quantitative and qualitative research and analysis leading to recommendations • Experience of report writing and producing recommendations • Experience of presenting detailed analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences showing the ability to adapt style and content accordingly • Credit risk analysis covering MI and portfolio management • Development of scorecard monitoring and strategy performance MI and metrics • Good communicator, presentation skills – written and verbal • Numerate and competency in analysis, methodologies and techniques including the use of linear and logistic regression, CHAID, monitoring and statistical techniques (Kolmogorov-Smirnoff, Gini, etc), usage of log-odds, etc • A strong team player capable of working under pressure and to tight timescales • Demonstrates empathy and persuasiveness in approach • Self-motivated with an ability to self-manage; strong organisational skills • Human and humane – not results at any cost Rewards For the role of Risk Analyst there is a salary on offer in the range of £35,000 to £45,000 per annum with excellent benefits including: • 28 days holidays plus bank holidays! • Complimentary fruit and refreshments • Car Allowance • Regular Health & Wellbeing events and FREE access to courses or sessions • PAID volunteering days How to Apply Please note that eRecruitSmart is a Recruitment Agent and is the retained consultancy for Ikano Bank.
