We are looking for Support workers with previous experience, to join our team in St Helens. The role will be to support clients with a brain injury, epilepsy and complex diabetes. Experience with this will be desirable.
As a Support worker your duties will be to:
- Provide care and support to clients in their own homes in the community.
- Provide personal care for clients, such as bathing, washing, always ensuring that the client’s dignity and privacy is maintained.
- Assist clients with personal grooming, such as dressing, hair or dental care.
- Assist with preparation, cooking feeding or serving of meals, to wash up and clear away afterwards. This also includes counting the carbohydrate content of food to help monitor the clients diabetes.

SOS Homecare provides high quality care to our clients within their own home. We have vacancies for both full time and part time hours which include mornings, evenings & weekends. The shifts are 8am until 3pm, 3pm until 10pm, 10pm until 8am, 8am until 8pm, 8pm until 8am as well as 8pm until midnight.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
No experience if required for the role as we will provide you with full induction training and shadow shifts before you start. Knowledge of diabetes, challenging behaviour and acquired brain injury is desired.
