The release management team in Cambridge is accountable for releases of the Worldwide Payment Gateway (WPG), Hosted Payment Pages (HPP) and Token Store (TKS) product suite and this role is primarily focused on our WPG platform. On WPG, change is deployed with no downtime; we upgrade the system whilst it’s still running at top speed. That top speed is substantial; at peak time the platform can happily process 800 transactions every second, and on its busiest days over 10 million payments are successfully completed. How will you contribute on a day-to-day basis?
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end release process from definition to deployment, including stakeholder and supplier liaison, release planning, and managing release related communications. You’ll make sure that changes to the functionality and capability of Worldpay’s ecommerce payment platforms are deployed successfully and without negative customer impact.
Ensuring that the correct Change and Release governance is in place is part of the role, and you’ll define, encourage and actively roll out best practice in Change, Release and deployment disciplines. You’ll manage cross functional deployment teams, mentor and train less experienced release team members, as well as take ownership of on-going reporting.
