Condition Monitoring Engineer Manchester To £39k + extremely generous benefits Our client is a global leader in the development and supply of automation, service and technology solutions to an array of clients throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experience Condition Monitoring Engineer to complement their established and highly professional team. Based in Manchester and reporting to the Mechanical Utilities Manager, the successful Condition Monitoring Engineer candidate will be tasked with supporting daily maintenance operations and ensuring optimum plant operational efficiency and availability whilst complying with all relevant H&S policies and legislation as appropriate. Responsible for ensuring relevant risk assessment activities and work method statements are undertaken and updated as required, you will both develop and implement condition monitoring activities and practices across the site, collating and analysing condition monitoring data and maintaining associated CM monitoring tools and software as well as keeping on and off-line vibration monitoring systems and components in an operational and reliable condition, undertaking corrective works and calibration as required on field hardware (e.g. Sensodec) and ensuring that back up copies of CM software are available. As a Condition Monitoring Engineer, you will report and plan corrective actions for condition monitoring tools and identify asset failures based on condition monitoring measurements and tools as necessary, evaluating the severity of asset failure and estimating the life time of assets based on measurements, and making recommendation of required actions as well as creating and updating a failure database of findings and failures (before and after maintenance) and investigating and analysing changed components to understand the root cause of the failure before reporting activities via the Maximo CMMS. To be considered for this varied and challenging role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will possess relevant engineering qualifications and demonstrate at least 5 years' experience of working within a relevant maintenance operations environment, and at least 3 years' experience in condition monitoring and vibration analysis activities with a good knowledge of associated condition monitoring analysis software. You will have experience in thermography and IR-image analyses (thermos cameras and analysis software) and oil analysis with strong skills in the use of the MS suite of packages and basic CMMS (Maximo) experience.
