A fantastic opportunity to use your skills as a Corporate Engagement Fundraiser to help this charity achieve their mission to support seafarers and fishermen.

Main purposes of the job:

  • To work with the Director of Development to implement the corporate fundraising strategy, to enable the establishment of high-value, long term relationships with corporate entities by fostering and developing new and existing relationships.
  • To drive new corporate fundraising partnerships with UK and global companies.
  • To raise income and profile from conferences and other shipping industry events
  • To contribute to shipping industry PR with the digital team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and regularly report on key objectives including income and expenditure targets.
  • With the guidance of the Director of Development, implement the corporate fundraising strategy to increase voluntary income and sponsorship support by identifying and developing both new and existing corporate fundraising and PR opportunities
  • Develop and write high quality creative and innovative funding proposals for charity partnerships, sponsorship and employee engagement
  • In conjunction with other fundraising team members, develop a range of attractive fundable projects
  • Work with the digital team to provide content for email marketing and advertising to the shipping industry
  • Work closely with the International Director on international corporate opportunities to maximise potential funding sources around the world.
  • Help to develop a system of corporate donor stewardship including a system of reporting to donors
  • Develop key corporate fundraising projects, events and campaigns, working closely with the Fundraising team.
  • Maintain accurate records using Raiser’s Edge
  • Lead, with others as required in the fundraising team, in meeting with potential, new and existing supporters and attending corporate events as required.
  • Undertake other duties as may be requested by the Director of Development
