Position: Automation Engineer

Location: Maidstone


My client specilises in the design, manufacture and commissioning of compression, booster and blower packages for worldwide use to the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Landfill, Water, Renewable and Petrochemical Industries. The specifications for machinery vary from client to client extensively, providing a varied and exciting working environment. My client supplies the most suitable type of machine for every project and can supply anything from minimum scope to complete turnkey solutions all designed, built and tested within their factory.


The successful candidate will be required to design software within agreed timescales & budgetary constraints. The role will involve a small element of commissioning work for the 6-7 projects my clients works on throughout the year, with the opportunity of international travel. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate searching for a welcoming team environment and flexible working.

Essential Skills:

-Extensive experience programming Siemens S7/Tia Portal OR Allen Bradley PLC

- Ability to code and modify SCADA/HMI systems

- Proficient with communications networking (Ethernet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus and Profinet)

- Highly developed fault finding skills

- Broad understanding of project cycle
