Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are exclusively working with a highly skilled manufacturer located near Chesterfield. My client is a well established international organisation, supplying a range of unique products into the industrial market. They have recently gone through a major transition period and are now looking to appoint a Logistics / Customer Service Manager.

This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity to join an already successful supply chain function within a leading organisation. We are searching for a dynamic and driven Logistics professional with experience in being customer facing and the drive to improve efficiencies and ensure output is maximised.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the dispatch and supply admin team, working as an influential leader whilst identifying areas to improve overall performance of the operation. You will take accountability for the receipt and despatch of finished goods, ensuring delivery to customer is in line with agreed lead times. The role is required to work cross functionally across Planning and Sales to understand forecast and demand, therefore excellent communication skills are critical.

The will be focussed around stock management, logistics and customer service therefore previous experience in these areas are essential. Alongside previous management experience and ability to demonstrate best practice.

You will also maintain and regularly update the ERP system, ensuring accuracy of data in line with forecast.

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to hear from professionals with the following skills & experience:

 A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Logistics role, ideally within a manufacturing environment

 Knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems

 Excellent customer service experience

 Experience in stock control and logistics planning

 Proven background in managing and mentoring teams

 Ability to identify areas of improvement and LEAN methods in the workplace
