A full time opportunity has arisen within our Finance Data Processing Team based at our Strensham Motorway Services on the M5 between Junction 7 and 8 near Worcester.

Role Overview:

Working as part of the Data Administration Team, this role involves supporting the Data Manager and Site Directors to ensure data integrity is adhered to at all times while responding to queries in a timely manner.

The successful role holder will primarily undertake work at the Support Office in Strensham with occasional travel to company sites for team meeting and training courses. Due to the nature of our business, this role may also require working from our sites as necessary.

Role Responsibilities:


* Maintain & input data/master data in business critical systems, to Roadchef company standard.

* Reconcile & Validate the data utilising a variety of tools and methods back to source or known data standards.

* Provide support to sites by way of assisting with the day to day dealings of data questions, scanning issues and generic stock queries.

* Liaise directly with the relevant internal teams and external customers/suppliers to achieve timely and efficient resolutions.

* Propose improvements to current processes with a view to ensuring that Roadchef follows best practice/policies within the data field.

* Support Data Manager and Head of Data and Integration by maintaining system configuration details, technical documentation and processing documentation relating to key data processes.

* Collaborate in the planning, design, development and deployment of new business systems and enhancements to existing applications.

* Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) administration in the form of till map management and setting up of promotions/discounts.

* Regression Testing on new releases/revisions of EPOS system to aid with consistency of the customer journey.

* Maintain relationships with third party service/application providers.

* Provide any other duties corresponding with the job position as may reasonably be required from time to time.

* Where necessary, assist the Data Manager/Head of Data and Integration with any related tasks/projects.

Key Skills/Experience

* Excellent customer service skills are a must along with good problem solving skills.

* Ability to build relationships quickly and must be comfortable communicating at all levels.

* Ability to keep calm under pressure and deal with user requests in an appropriate manner.

* Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

* Excellent problem solving skills with a fine eye for detail.

* Ability to communicate ideas and proposals in both user-friendly and technical language.

* Must be computer-literate and highly numerate.

* Must be comfortable working in a busy data environment and able to meet deadlines.

* Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets experience is desirable.

* Previous ERP/EPOS system experience is desirable.

* Previous administrative skills essential.
